It's September 1976 on the south shore of Long Island . Ads on the TV in the local bar announce “a change coming over America” with the upcoming Ford-Carter presidential election, while a group of friends are forced to embrace change as their small-town way of life is soon to be altered forever. A funny, heartfelt story about a tightly-knit group of friends, who try to maintain their small-town way of life in the face of enormous changes in 1970s Long Island . Hunt and his best friends Frankie Lozo, Cons and Jack are hard-living clam diggers whose livelihoods are threatened by an encroaching corporation, forcing them to consider new directions in life.
